Ons zoontje is 1,5 jaar en was 3 maanden toen hij voor het eerst 3-4 dagen per week bij Teddy Kids verbleef. Ik heb verschillende organisaties in de kinderopvang in Leiden en omstreken bezocht en Teddy Kids is wat ons betreft absoluut de beste: de warme familiale sfeer, de open cultuur, de attentie & de zorg, de kwaliteit in aandacht zowel voor de omgang met elkaar maar ook voor de maaltijden, de veiligheid en de activiteiten voor de kleintjes. De locatie op de Rijnsburgerweg is absoluut fabelachtig: het is een gebouw dat zowel praktisch en netjes, maar ook huiselijk & speels is. Zowel de verzorgsters als het management zijn warm & aandachtig maar ook discreet en professioneel. Ons zoontje gaat altijd met plezier het gebouw binnen en wil vaak niet meer terug naar huis. Ik kan Teddy Kids alleen maar aanraden voor elke ouder die zijn/haar kind niet alleen een veilig en warme omgeving wil bieden maar ook internationaal, open en creatief.

Mijn kleine gaat hier al naartoe sinds dat hij 6maanden was, niet heel gebruikelijk maar hier gaan ze er prima mee om. Leuke activiteiten en knutselwerkjes en krijg de kleine altijd weer terug met een lach van hem en van de nannys. Ik beveel deze opvang van harte aan.

Teddy Kids is a truly exceptional daycare that I would recommend without hesitation. Their principles and ethos are outstanding, and they put in a lot of effort to make daycare the best experience possible for both the children and parents. Our son loved it there for 14m until the age of 2, especially because of the amazing, kind, attentive teachers. Flexible, international, extensive facilities (lots of outdoor play in dream garden!), hot food, regular communication, very varied activities to encourage development. We could not have asked for anything more. As a separate note, I think an organisation's reaction to Coronovirus says a lot about them. Teddy Kids really made the most of the situation with generous social responsibility: offered free care to all key worker's childen, increased booking flexibility, sent videos and gave online lessons, made renovations and opened new play areas.

I was checking in the website and they mentioned which it's not true, we are really flexible and blah blah, long story short mentioned on the website that you can apply for 2 half days which it should cost 9.33 per hour * 5.5 (half days) * 2 days * 4 weeks = 410.52 Euros per month. but when I called to make tour appointment they mentioned you cannot do that because we are really busy so they decide to make a new rules diff. from the website. min. 3 full days which is simply will cost you 1231.56 Euros plus someone named Tess was really rude and try to hang up the call as fast as she can. this is not professional at all and simply update your website to be really clear and just milking money from the parents.

Teddy Kids was an amazing childcare for our two kids. A place where all internationals feel welcome and at the same time a great introduction into the local culture. Our kids bloomed at TK and the transition into Dutch primary schools was incredibly smooth.

Die kinderen blijven maar huilen. Heel leuk dat jullie daar een kinderopvang hebben maar hou wel een beetje rekening met de middelbare schoor ernaast die examens aan het maken zijn. Het duurt ook echt 10 minuten voordat ze gestopt zijn met huilen en als wij uit het raam kijken vanuit de middelbare school zien wij dat het ook wel even duurt voordat dat kind geholpen wordt. Een hele irritante en luidruchtige opvang.

Iedere dag krijg ik de mooiste foto's van de activiteiten. De kinderen krijgen muziekles, tennisles en knutselen elke dag weer wat anders. Het eerste jaar vond ik niet gemakkelijk maar nu 3 jaar later kan ik alleen maar ziels gelukkig zijn met de inzet en hartelijkheid van de medewerkers van TK.

As soon as we walked in, this was the place for us! We love the beautiful historic building, the diverse expat culture, and most of all, the energetic and loving teachers. Being at work and getting pictures of our baby having a blast in her creche has become the best part of our day :)

Onze twee kinderen gaan er met veel plezier heen. Ze worden uitgedaagd met knutselactiviteiten en leren zeer goed de communicatieve 'regels' van onze samenleving en die van anderen. De tuin is geeft een vrijheid voor onze kinderen en ze vertellen veel over de activiteiten met Els. Ook het management is erg flexibel en denken goed met je mee. Voor geen goud zou ik onze kinderen naar een andere opvang willen brengen.

Onze dochter gaat inmiddels alweer een jaar naar Teddy Kids en ze heeft het naar haar zin! De leidsters zijn erg lief en er wordt veel gedaan met de kinderen; muziek maken, dansen, spelen, lezen, knutselen etc. Zodra het ook maar een beetje mooi weer is gaan ze gelijk lekker naar buiten de tuin in waar ze genoeg ruimte hebben om te spelen. Wat wij verder ook heel prettig vinden is dat de kinderen naast fruit en gezonde snacks, tussen middag een gezonde warme maaltijd krijgen! Aan het einde van de dag krijgen we een update met wat ze allemaal gedaan hebben die dag incl foto's.

Ik ben nu iets meer dan een jaar een deel van deze Familie. Werken bij Teddy Kids is een feestje. Elke dag stappen alle leidsters het gebouw weer binnen met een grote lach en helemaal klaar om de kinderen weer een leuke dag te bezorgen. Waar ze zich kunnen ontwikkelen en kunnen leren van bijv. een andere cultuur. Het bijzondere aan Teddy Kids is dat heel de wereld samen komt. Wij van elkaar leren door de verschillende culturen. Het thuis gevoel voor ouders en kinderen creëren is daarom super belangrijk. Teddy Kids staat altijd voor iedereen klaar en dat merk je meteen als je 1 van de locaties binnen loopt. Warm, vriendelijk, oprecht en gezellig. Ik vind het een geweldig bedrijf om te mogen werken. 5 sterren zeker weten.

I have been working at Teddy kids Rijnsburgerweg for 2 and half years and I can defiantly say I feel very much part of the TK family. As a British national I needed to have the correct papers in which I could work as a teacher in day care. Teddy kids have been very helpful in more ways than one in me gaining what I needed to carry on in the job I love! I myself am a single Mum of 2 boys who also attend Teddy kids at the Zeemanlaan I couldn't be more happier with the care both my boys receive. Having to juggle work and my children, I can always rely on Teddy kids to be flexible and as helpful as possible when it comes to my situation. My boys enjoy there time at Teddy kids and have a very strong bond with their teachers and the management, and too feel much-loved!

About Teddy Kids Rijnsburgerweg: I just love it! To be honest I love the whole Teddy Kids actually! Most importantly my son is crazy about it too! I recommend every single location! Let me tell you a little about our own experience with Teddy Kids: I\'m an expat single mom, 4 years ago I was desperately looking for a day care for my child, one with warm healthy lunches (in my country sandwiches for lunch is not an everyday option!), a warm and friendly place to be for my kid while I was at work, and here I found Teddy kids. First Zeemanlaan location and then Rijnsburgerweg. It was and still is to this day beyond all my expectations! Not only they took care of my son as their own from day 1, but he also learned many many things with them! Plus English!!! For both of us it was, and is, more than "just" a team of caring and loving hard workers, it is truly a second family. Through thick and thin I always could count on each and every one of them: teachers, stagiaires, management, direction. I\'m so happy to be a small part of it :) My kid\'s experience: He get to learn about a lot of different things such as countries in the world and their traditions, lots of crafts, dancing, gym, live farm\'s animals... etc. All his senses are well stimulated too with a lots of great activities and experiences. As parent: They\'ve made many tools available for parents to see what our little ones do through their days. And we can see that they are constantly working on improvements and other ways to make it better and easier too. As conclusion I want to thank every member of Teddy Kids from the bottom of my hart and to parents who are in the same position as I was 4 years ago: go for it! It\'s a keeper!!! Our daughter has been with Teddy Kids since she was 3 months old and for over six months now. Giving such a small 3-month old baby to the daycare was hard, but when I picked her up every evening I saw how calm she was and that was the best indication of the great care she received. The location of Teddy Kids at Rijnsburgerweg is beautiful: specious building and absolutely amazing garden, which is used whenever weather allows. Teachers do amazing work with babies: a lot of activities to develop their motor skills, they read stories, sing and even paint. Every day we also receive pictures and description how the day in the group went, I am always looking forward to see those and come back to the picture whenever I miss my daughter during a working day. We love teddy Kids!

My daughter joined Teddy Kids Rijnsburgerweg when she was 8 months old, she is now 2.5 years old. We are very happy with the experience, and she is so happy that she never wants to get home at the end of the day. Teddy Kids represents en exception in the panorama of daycare centers in Leiden. They provide a nice and abundant warm lunch, they offer a native English-speaking teacher in each group, and they are very very flexible in the schedule. These are the main reasons why we chose TK, and why we are still happy with them. We started with two afternoons only, and ended up with four days, with a custom schedule. I know this would have been impossible in the majority of other centers. Throughout all the several age groups until now, my daughter has always got caring and loving attention from the teachers, to whom she is very attached. The general environment is very international, and this can only have positive outcome in young children. The location is also very nice and recently renovated, with a lot of space both indoor and (especially) outdoor. The only downside we have found, is the teachers turnover, a bit too frequent than desirable, but I also know that this is a common situation at daycare. I strongly recommend it.

Our daughter goes to Teddykids almost a two years and we were on a flexible contract, bring her and take at any time, it is enough to check the phone availability. We are very satisfeid with both the teachers and the management. On child we see the positive effects that she brings from a daycare, learning English and Dutch at the same time brings a lot benefits. We are hardly recommend Teddykids to everyone!

Coming from abroad to Leiden suddenly for emergency medical reasons, we found ourselves in urgent need of a highly flexible play school that could offer our three-year old quality care and education. After being dismissed by other schools who informed us that they could not offer us a temporary or flexible contract, we were surprised and elated to meet and speak to the friendly and kind owners of Teddy Kids who were happy and willing to assist us in our time of need. The service and care at Teddy Kids is fantastic and our daughter really enjoyed her time spent there. The fact that the education is bilingual was also a huge plus for us and the management team's comfortable and accommodating attitude is a breath of fresh air! Two thumbs way up for Teddy Kids! Slechtste kinderopvang waar ik ooit heb gewerkt. Te grote groepen met te weinig leidsters (16 kinderen op 1 leidster, dit mag totaal niet) hierdoor wordt er niet goed op uw kind gelet, de kinderen hebben hierdoor afwijkend gedrag, veel huilende kinderen etc etc. als de inspectie hierachter komt, krijgen zij een flinke boete. In de groep van 2-4 jaar slapen de kinderen in een hele lichte kamer, de gordijnen zijn te kort en niet verduisterd, hierdoor slapen de kinderen niet goed of helemaal niet, als gevolg worden de kinderen moe en op het einde van de middag hangerig. Kinderen die zindelijk zijn hebben ook pech, daar de leidsters niet veel zin hebben om heen en weer te lopen tussen tuin en kinder wc ( die zit boven, beetje dom dat er niet een kinder wc beneden is gemaakt) doen zij een luier om, ja u leest het goed, ze doen bij een zindelijk kind een luier om, zogenaamd voor hygiëne, dat wordt verteld aan ouders die er een vraag hierover stellen, dit is totaal pedagogisch onverantwoord!!! De meeste leidsters zijn ook niet voldoende opgeleid (zitten nog in opleiding) de meesten zijn stagiaires, en weten niet goed hoe zij met kinderen om moeten gaan. De babyphone wordt in groep 1-3 vaak uitgezet, de leidsters kunnen niet tegen het huilen,en vinden het huilen irritant, hebben geen zin in het troosten, zoek dan een ander beroep!!!! Er worden nooit uitstapjes gemaakt, als het goed weer is worden de kinderen naar de tuin gebracht, daar is alleen een race baan, met een paar fietstjes (niet genoeg voor alle kinderen) er is wel een zandbak(een hele kleine) maar daar mogen de kinderen niet in, ja daar is die weer, voor de zogenaamde hygiëne, maar Teddy Kids wil geen troep binnen, alles moet keurig en netjes zijn, zij vergeten dat het een kinderopvang is. De leidsters zitten niet op een lijn, de ene zegt dit en de andere zegt dat, communicatie is ver te zoeken, dat komt door de tekortkoming van opleiding, ook worden problemen afgeschoven op elkaar, de manager lost ook niets op en is zelfs af toe arrogant of bot tegen ouders. Ook is het heel verwarrend voor de kinderen, de talen die er worden gesproken, dan Nederlands, dan weer Engels, maar er wordt ook Russisch gesproken (door manager die van Russische afkomst is) Er zit dus geen lijn in, er is niet de regel van altijd Engels te spreken met elke dag een uurtje Nederlandse les (of andersom) Ik heb daar echt met veel verbazing rond gelopen, dit heb ik nog nooit mee gemaakt, zo onkundig, zo ongeïnteresseerd, het gaat echt alleen om geld verdienen. Ik vraag me ook af hoe het kan dat er niets wordt gedaan aan deze kinderopvang???? Op de site lijkt het heel wat, maar als je goed leest, gaat het alleen over het pand en de tuin, het lijkt wel een klein museum ;-) dus eigenlijk weet je het dan al, het gaat niet om het kind. Dus, breng uw kind AUB niet naar Teddy Kids!!!!! Groet, Oud medewerker.

I am a full-time working single mother. I started sending my baby from the age of 3 months. The team had been very cooperative, flexible and understanding of my needs. My daughter is always very happy to go there. She beams with smiles whenever I drop her off. The teachers from the baby group are jovial, attentive and helpful. Together they make a wonderful team. The international environment additionally makes this place more appealing for children from foreign backgrounds. I'd recommend Teddy's anytime to parents looking for a reliable, safe and fun childcare.

Both are boys go to Teddy Kids, one in full day Care, one at after school Care BSO. They have both very quickly bonded with their group staff and they get so much love and attention. The staff at Teddy kids are truly caring and great at what they do. I also find them to be flexible and willing to constructively think about how to approach challenging situations/behaviour. In addition the building Teddy Kids is housed in is amazing, and the do so much work to keep improving the site and make it so the children can enjoy the space to the fullest.

Teddy Kids has welcomed our 2-year old daughter during our 4-week working visit to Leiden University. At home she is exposed to two languages, and to a third one at her regular day care, so the international environment at Teddy Kids seemed to be a good match. In addition, Teddy Kids management was very accommodating to us, being relatively short time visitors to Leiden, needing day care for only a few weeks. We were not disappointed! Our daughter loved going to Teddy Kids: they spend a lot of time singing, making music, doing crafts and playing outside in the fantastic, huge yard; and these are all things that she loves. The atmosphere is very relaxed, with parents freely moving around amongst the kids at drop-off and pick-up times. The teachers are very sweet. It was a sad moment, when we picked her up on the last day, because she will not go back anymore to this place where she had such a wonderful time. I can highly recommend Teddy Kids, in particular for parents visiting from abroad, looking for temporary day care for their little ones.

We are really pleased with the care quality provided by Teddy Kids for our almost 1 year old son. Teachers from the Bear Group we know especially Tezgul, Antoinette and Larissa are such loving and caring teachers. They are definitely doing their work with passion and we see it from the quality of care they have provided to our baby. Because we have decided to try out a friend who has recently subscribed as a gastouder and she lives really close-by to us, we have decided to stop with Teddy Kids. In any case, if things do not work out, we will definitely be back.

What can I say about Teddy Kids.... The first time I walked into one of their creche\'s in Leiden I was heavily pregnant with my twin girls. Conscious of the unknown and suspicious of the new, I was warmly welcomed, Informed in detail and re-assured with facts and that this is the best place for my kids- what more would a mother want? I had visited and assessed all options available to parents in the Netherlands, ranging from childminders (Gastouders or Oppasmoeders) to nannies and au pairs and I found that Teddy Kids combined the safe and secure child facilities my kids would need in their first months of their life with the creative pay, all-round activity curriculum and multilingual exposure that would set the foundations for their first years at school (which-ever school we chose to send them to). It was an immediate \'yes\' for me. My little angels joined the Teddy Kids family when they were only 4 months old, as I had to go back to working full time. They are now two little 3,5 year-old devils approaching the day when they will say \'goodbye\' to their Day Care friends and move to their first school experience at the American School in the Hague. I saw them being taken care of by the beautiful ladies at Teddy Kids when they were not yet able to speak, I saw them learning how to play, how to respect their piers, I saw them learning how to hold a spoon and how to sit around the table and produce small pieces of art under the guidance of their teachers. I saw them running with bright smiles on their faces when I dropped them off at Teddy Kids in the morning and I have heard them telling me that they want Tess from Teddy Kids to be their mom. It is not easy for a full-time working mom to leave her kids at day-care and feel good about it. It will never be, as this \'mother\'s guilt\' is always there to keep us company. But I could have never found a better place, a better group of people (and I am also talking about the very kind and at the same time very professionally-minded family owning and running Teddy Kids), to trust with the care of my kids. I am confident about that and that puts my mind at ease:-) What will I always remember from Teddy Kids: Being a tri-lingual family (IT-GR-EN), we were reluctant to expose the girls to Dutch. As a result, I had kindly asked the Teddy Kids ladies to speak to my girls in English. But as kids are sponges and noone can really control what language the other kids will use when communicating with mine, I was faced with the incredible reality of having quadri-lingual kids today, whose first words where "kijk\' and \'waar ben je now\'- the latter sounded exactly like \'va bene now\', to my husband\'s ears but his happiness for Italian to be the first words uttered by the girls was short-lived, ha,ha! What I take away when my kids leave Teddy kids by the end of this summer in order to start school: two very-very-very happy kids and I am so thank full for that!! They know how to laugh with their heart, how to run and play with no fear, how to enjoy even the rainy weather and how to treat their mates with respect. How to stand up for themselves (\'stop\' was taught to them by the Teddy Kids ladies as a very important prerogative in their interaction with others as soon as they started speaking!) and how to give and share are only some of the principles learned at the creche. Every mother\'s dream. As a father that had the chance to accompany his two little princess to the daycare as from when they were infants to the present day (when they behave and act as little 3,5 years old happy devils), I can confirm all the above plus, I can add that the teachers at Teddy-kids were very helpful guiding me as parent through the challenges of fatherhood, and specially the one of twins-fatherhood! After 7+ months of being in TK, I would recommend this daycare as the best that one can choose. Administration, teachers and the environment together make it a unique place for children to develop. Diversity of the activities has turned it as not only a place for caring, but a wonderful place where children are clearly being developed. Warmness of the teachers along with clear rules give the feeling of being at home with lots of things to be learnt for your child. The flexible administration system helps the parents to be relieved from strict and unnecessary early plannings. All in all, if you are looking for a multicultural environment with full of developing activities and kind teachers, I definitely recommend TeddyKids. Thanks TK.

Rondleiding gehad. Als eerst in de best grote tuin viel het ons op dat er niets aanwezig was waarmee een kind zich kan vermaken,geen glijbaan,geen schommel, geen zandbak,geen klimrek etc.etc. Helemaal niets,en het gras is nep, dus kunstgras. Binnen aangekomen,bleek echter hetzelfde verhaal,er was bijna geen speelgoed aanwezig en wat er was,stond in de kast. De sfeer die er hangt is zakelijk en koud,geen warm gevoel kregen wij, ook waren de medewerkers niet op de hoogte van het pedagogische beleid,op vragen waren geen antwoorden,dus niet zo kundig zoals op de site wordt vermeld. Ook worden er geen buitenactiviteiten georganiseerd,alleen in de tuin.lijkt mij erg saai voor kinderen. Conclusie: geen aanrader dus Fam. de Lange

My baby started in Teddy Kids 6 months ago, for me all of them are like my family. It is a transparent and a safe place and all the teachers are Incredible, they hug my baby, kiss him and he feels like in home. My child is improving a lot, he is learning english and a lot of new things. For me this team is the best, and all the teachers are perfect!! So for me is the best daycare!!! All parents want the best for their child and we have find it in this daycare. Thank a lot for looking after my baby so good, and i can trust on you, while i am working i am calm because i know that he is in the best hands.
